Most of the projects offer hands-on participation, but several offer financial participation as well. I (we) want to be a Christmas Sponsor for a family coping with a chronically ill child by providing simple gifts for members of the family by Dec. 7th.
I (we) want to be an Elf for "Brown Santa" during the first two weeks in Dec. Gift wrapping helpers of all ages are needed. Saturday groups will be scheduled.
I (we) volunteer to help distribute "Coats for Kids," Sat., Dec. 11th (Spanish speakers especially welcome). I undersand that we will carpool on the church bus for the early morning shift.
I (we) want to help with the Christmas party for Lyons Gardens Apts. for low income seniors on Sunday, Dec. 12th, 1:30-4 pm. I understand that this is a great project for families and that I (we) can sing carols, provide small holiday breads and baked goods, or help distribute gifts & cheer at the party.
I (we) want to donate hats, mittens, and/or scarves for the homeless, that will be distributed through Mobile Loaves & Fishes. I (we) will put them on the Homeless Tree in the church by Dec. 21st.
I want to prepare stockings for Salvation Army's Christmas Eve guests. I understand that I will receive a list with specific instructions on what to include as well as a personal Christmas note. I also understand that this is a great project for families and groups.
