It's not hard to find churches that seek success by spending large sums on mega-buildings, sound systems, and headliner entertainment, but we believe that an authentic faith is one you live in the world, 24/7.  Because of this, our faith community has made the long-term commitment that Westlake UMC will become a 50/50 church: 50% of its time and resources will go to internal needs and 50% will go outside the church. We recognize that our choice means we will have to forego many expenditures on facilities and entertainment, but we believe that improving the lives outside the church is too important to ignore.
